Harrow is a large suburban town in Greater London, home to the world-famous Harrow public school. The town is situated 11 miles north of London's West End and its architectural heritage can be seen in the many listed Georgian buildings in the town. There are older buildings too, such as the early 16th century church of St Lawrence, and the 15th century Headstone Manor. Many residents of Harrow commute into London.
St George's Shopping and Leisure Centre provides some of the retail opportunities in Harrow and there are shops around the Station Road and College Road areas. Harrow is well served by the London Underground. For those wanting to visit St Albans, Watford and Windsor, or get away from it all in Clone Valley Regional Park or the Chiltern Hills, Harrow makes a good base.
