Major police presence in Greenford as fireworks are being shot at cars

There is a major police presence on Greenford Broadway tonight (31 October) as fireworks have been let off in the direction of the public and cars on the road.

Reports circulating on social media suggest that a police officer has been injured by one of the fireworks but this is yet to be confirmed.

The UB1UB2 Twitter page posted: “50+ police officers, some with batons and riot shields, are standing on all sides of Greenford Broadway and surrounding areas, as they are on the lookout for the kids who were shooting fireworks at the public, which resulted in a police officer being injured #UB1UB2”

Footage shared on the page shows fireworks landing on the road in front of moving traffic.
