Hospice cash boost in memory of trader who died in their care

Property dealer Kimat Gulati, who died in July from cancer, had been a supporter of the hospice in Kenton for many years.

The father-of-two was a founder member of the South Harrow Traders Association when it was set up in 2011, and the group subsequently adopted the hospice as its main charity.

Harrow Council’s former leader Graham Henson joined members when Kimat’s surviving sister Shital and the traders’ chairman Shahram Irvani presented a cheque to the hospice.

“He ended up at the place that he supported for many years,” the traders association’s secretary, estate agent Jay Parmar, said. “We’ve had a few members who have passed away who have been treated at St Luke’s. I have also had relatives who’ve spent their final days there.”

The traders’ association has 140 members who collect money for the hospice with charity cricket matches and annual fundraising drives during Diwali and Christmas.
